The body and sideplates of the PENN Battle III Spinning Reel are made with sturdy all-aluminum composition, featuring a forged and machined aluminum spool with Line Capacity Rings. The CNC Gear Technology recovers at the rate of 22" | 56cm with every turn of the crank, with a gear ratio of 5.2:1. It is equipped with a superline spool to securely attach braided line, with a Mono Capacity of 275/2, 135/4, 105/6 yd/lb, and a Braid Capacity of 160/6, 130/8, 110/10.

The Battle III features 6 TOTAL BEARINGS, including 5 stainless steel ball bearings plus 1 instant anti-reverse bearing, to provide smooth operation for any saltwater fishing experience. The HT-100 FRONT DRAG SYSTEM, built with carbon fiber washers, delivers a max drag of 9lb | 4.0kg, ensuring this reel can handle large fish without wearing you down. The handle can be positioned for right or left-handed use.
